• During the reign of Sargon, the great and brutal warrior king of Akkad, He was referred to as "The Illuminator”.

• At one point or another, Sin was King of the Gods, Lord of Wisdom, Keeper of Time, Guardian of the Future (Diviner), and Holder of Secrets. He was always seen as the devoted son of Enlil (Yahweh) and a protector and guardian of humanity.

• Sargon of Akkad (r. 2334-2279 BCE) placed his daughter Enheduanna in her position at Ur as High Priestess to Sin.
