Shamash and Ishtar are the Patrons of The Obsidian Temple of The Ancients. Each will have Their own Temple here as well as this part of the Temple is built.

 

Some people thought They were one and the same being, but They are twins. Those who discover the egregore of the combined being, may see an entity with one face, but one half is feminine and the other is masculine. If not an egregore,  one of Them decided to use the form.

While the Sumerians did not see Them as twins, the Akkadians and Greeks did. That is the correct relationship. In Sumer, They were Utu and Inanna. In Egypt, Osiris and Isis. In Greece, Apollo and Artemis. In the Infernal Realms, Lucifer and Lucifera or Father Satan & Astaroth.

It is important to note that this is not the same Father Satan as Their Father Sin (Belial), Lord of the Earth or Father Enki, Their Uncle  (Zazazel/ Pan/ Saturn- formerly Azazel) . Rather, it is a combination of His lighter and higher frequencies and darker and lower frequencies, that of Lucifer and Samael, sometimes called "The Man in Black" when He manifests as integrated.. These in Akkadian Names would be Shamash  and Nergal/ Nerigal.

 

Astaroth is both higher and lower as well, combining Ishtar and Anat, amongst others of Her manifestations such as Asherah and Ashtareth, also mate of Ishkur/ Baal (Beelzebub). She is also referred to as Astarte.

 

Lilith is really Ereshkigal, Their older Sister and mate of Nergal She will have a Temple here also.
